Speeches

This week we presented are speeches in Room One. I felt a tiny bit nervous but mostly excited to be done. We had to have a clear voice and we had to try stand still and speak at our own pace.

Did you know that bunnies can reach up to a speed of 25 to 45 mph? Bunny’s are very unique in their own way. Some bunny’s are really huge and capable of taking care of themselves and some are really small and incapable of taking care of themselves. Whatever type of bunny you get you will need a lot of time to take care of them. There are 30 different breeds of bunnies in the world, And 14 million bunnies in the world. Bunnies are very independent but still need a lot of attention. Bunnies can be very emotional So when there angry or upset leave them alone so you don't get bitten. Bunnies can be cute and cuddly or mean and scratchy it depends on how feed they are. Make sure to feed them lots and always refill their water, bunnies can die from not having water. You may think most food bunnies eat are carritos but no id bunnies eat more than half a carrot a day or they will get a sore tummy. Bunnies need lots of greens and pellets.

Sploosh

In Room One we have been reading a book called Holes. In Holes there is a scene where Zero has escaped Camp Green Lake and found a boat tipped upside down with a bunch of spiced peaches in tight jars. When Zero found them he called them Sploosh. Mrs Naden asked us to make an advertisement for Sploosh. We had to add a celebrity endorsement, a price, where you can buy it from, a slogan and it had to be eye catching and colourful. I enjoyed finding the different types of peach pictures. I didn't find anything hard. Next time I would add where you can buy it from.

Climate Change

In Room One we have been learning about climate change.
I enjoyed finding lots of facts I didn't know.
Next time I would use more facts in each of my paragraphs to give my story more facts.
I found it hard to change the words on the computer to my own words.

Climate change

What is climate change and what is it doing to our earth? Climate change is the effect of the weather and temperature getting warmer. Global warming is the warming of our planet.
This year the Amazon Rainforest has had more fires than it has ever had before. They lit it on fire to clear some land for farming or ranching, but it got out of control. The smoke from the fires has covered more than half of Brazil over the years.

The Amazon Rainforest is home to millions of species of animals including the uakaris, brown throated sloth, bald uakari, South American tapir and the pteronura. The habitats of these animals is being destroyed.

Over the past 150 years, countries have been burning large amounts of fossil fuels such as oil and gas. The earth has warmed by an average of 1.c in the last century, and although that might not sound like much but it means big things for people and wildlife around the world.

Climate change is already affecting the wild life all over the world. But certain species are suffering more than others. Climate change isn’t just affecting the wildlife its affecting people too. Farming communities, especially in developing countries are facing the higher temperatures such as rain, floods and droughts.
